Covid -19

Please see below what we are doing here at Looe View Cottage during these concerning times and to make your holiday as safe as possible.

We hope the following covers any concerns you may have prior to making a booking or coming to stay with us. If you have any questions, however small, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us, either by phone or email.

COVID-19 assurance: If travel is restricted (locally or nationally) or if we are unable to welcome you to Looe View Cottage then we will continue, as we have been doing, to refund all our guests in full.

If you or a member of your party becomes ill then we will be happy to move your booking to a later date (the price may change depending on the new dates chosen).

Cleaning:  We are ensuring that the cottage that you have booked will be cleaned and sanitised to the Covid Ready Guidelines from PASC UK, the AA and Visit England.

AA Covid-19 Confident Certificate

We have always taken pride in the level of cleanliness at Looe View Cottage and have always paid special attention to disinfecting any surfaces where germs habitually like to live. We are now doing a “double clean” of all our cottages i.e. doing our normal clean and following up with a suitable disinfectant for a second time. We are paying special attention to high contact areas such as door handles, light switches, bannisters, remote controls, tabletops and keys. Sadly, we are unable to present the cottages as we normally would as many of the ornaments have been removed for the time being.

Check in/out times: The result of all this is that we will need extra time for each changeover, so we will now be setting arrival times at 5pm (rather than 4pm) and asking that guests depart no later than 9am (rather than 10am) on their final day. We wish we didn’t have to do this, but it really is essential in order for us to ensure your safety. Please help us by observing these times. (During quieter periods this may not be necessary and we are asking guests to check with us a day or two before arrival/departure to see if an earlier check-in/later check-out is possible.)

If one of your party develops symptoms while staying with us, Government advice is to get tested immediately and for the group to self isolate in situ. Should the test come back positive before the scheduled end of the stay then the group is required to immediately return to their primary residence(s) and continue to self isolate for the required time. Please let us know as our cleaning protocols are different in this scenario. The symptoms to look out for are a high temperature, a new, continuous cough, or a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste. Regardless of the test result, if you are too unwell to return home and decide to self isolate in your cottage beyond your scheduled stay, then you will be liable for all fees for all bookings affected by this self isolation.

Needless to say, if one of your party develops symptoms in the days prior to your scheduled stay with us, please follow Government guidance – self isolate, get tested, and do not travel.

Thank you for your help and understanding. We very much hope that all our guests will continue to have wonderful holidays with us, and can once again look forward to getting away from home, and enjoying the sea air.
